As you pass the entrance to Terminal Five you will see in the distance some folks having fun behind the next factory on your left: Newport-Layton. Aerial Flyby of our Field
|
The other route is from Interstate 5 exit 306A, or from Interstate Place. Drive West along North Columbia Boulevard past Chimney Park and the car wreckers. Then at 5.3 miles pass the junction leading to Terminal Four and take North Lombard Street to enter Rivergate Industrial Park. Keep to the right following Lombard as it swings to the North. After passing three warehouses you will climb over a remarkable hump in the road. From there it's the first factory on your right: Newport-Layton. We are behind the far end of it. Go to the North end of their car park and walk round the back of the building. This route is 6.5 miles from Interstate 5 and takes twelve minutes.
We can fly every day of the week and there are no hour restrictions.
Our Club Meeting Locations
During the winter, the club meets at the Holy Cross Grade School in the basement. It is one block south and one block East of the intersection of N. Portsmouth and N. Lombard St. There usually are not many cars at the school on Sunday evening. So the cars you do see will likely be the club members.
During the warm months, the club meets at the field.
For the next club meeting date, see our home page.
